Family-owned, Washington WMBE-certified, W-2 employees, no subcontractors. Run by Seattle natives who answer the phone, show up on time, and treat every property like it's their own.
"I started this company because cleaning isn't a transaction. It's a relationship. We learn your space, your schedule, your standards — and we earn the right to come back next week."
Guacolda's path into cleaning started in 2003, prepping brand-new custom homes for builder John Baccham across Bainbridge Island and Seattle — the detailed, white-glove work of getting a home spotless before its owners ever walked in. From there she built a trusted residential cleaning business, and in 2013 she founded Emerald City Cleaning to bring that same standard — W-2 employees, real training, showing up on time — to businesses and premier homes across the city. Twenty-plus years in, the bet's paid off.
She still runs the business day-to-day. Every estimate, every escalation, every late-night question from a worker — they all reach her. The company is Washington WMBE certified (Women & Minority Business Enterprise) — a real credential, audited annually by the state, that opens us up to public-sector and tier-one corporate work other firms can't bid on.
The shortlist of things we won't compromise on. They've gotten us here, and they're how we'll keep going.
Every worker is on our payroll. Background-checked, drug-tested, uniformed, bonded, insured. We never subcontract — full stop.
Photo report after every visit. Site supervisors do random checks. If we say we did it, you can see we did it.
One named contact in our office. Two-hour response window during business hours. We answer the phone — that's the bar.
If we said Tuesday at 7 AM, we're there Tuesday at 6:55 AM. The fundamentals matter more than anything that comes after.
