Emerald Cleaning LLC DBA Emerald City Cleaning ("ECC," "we," "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, employees, and job applicants. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard personal information.
Information We Collect
- Client business name, contact name, address, phone number, and email — for service delivery, scheduling, and customer-service communications.
- Employee name, phone number, email address, and language preference — for workforce communications, payroll, and employment records.
- Job-applicant name, phone number, email address, and application materials submitted through our careers page.
- GPS location data during work hours for time tracking and job verification.
- Time-and-attendance records as required by Washington state labor law.
How We Use Your Information
- Communicating with clients about scheduled service, appointment confirmations, job completion, and customer-service replies.
- Responding to employee-initiated text conversations with our assistant "Atlas" and sending one-time PIN-reset security codes when an employee requests them.
- Communicating with job applicants regarding application status, pre-screening questions, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Processing payroll and maintaining employment records.
- Complying with federal and state labor regulations.
SMS / Text Messaging
ECC operates four text-messaging programs. By providing your mobile phone number to ECC, you may receive text messages from one or more of the following programs depending on your relationship with us and the consent you have provided. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase, service, employment, or job application.
- Customer Notifications Appointment reminders, scheduling updates, job-completion notifications, and customer-service replies. Sent to clients who provide a phone number through our website forms, by verbal consent during a sales or service call, or by direct request.
- Staff Messaging Two-way conversational replies between an employee and our assistant "Atlas," and one-time PIN-reset security codes. This program is employee-initiated: messages are sent only after an employee texts our number or requests a PIN reset.
- Recruiting Alerts Application status, pre-screening questions, interview scheduling, and onboarding updates. Sent to job applicants who submitted an application through our careers page.
- Marketing Communications Occasional promotional messages, seasonal service offers, limited-time discounts on add-on services (such as window cleaning, carpet, or hood degreasing), referral-program invitations, and new-service announcements. Sent only to existing or past customers who have opted in to marketing-SMS through a separate, dedicated marketing-consent checkbox at the time of booking, proposal sign-off, or other web-form submission. Marketing consent is collected separately from service-SMS consent and may be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your relationship with ECC and the nature of the conversation. Typical frequency: 1–5 messages per service appointment for clients, a small number of replies when staff reach out plus one-time codes on request, 5–10 messages during the application screening process for candidates, and no more than 2 messages per month for marketing-opted-in recipients.
Costs & Carrier Disclaimer
Message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. ECC does not charge for messages sent. Carrier participation may vary; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opt-Out & Help
To stop receiving messages from any ECC line, reply STOP to that line. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages from that line. Reply HELP to any ECC text for assistance, or contact us at (206) 529-4700 or [email protected].

Information Sharing
Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in status) will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for any purpose. SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates. ECC does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
Information may be shared with:
- Payroll processors and regulatory agencies as required by law.
- Service providers and sub-processors (such as our SMS carrier and scheduling tools) strictly for delivering the services described in this policy.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
Data Security
Personal information is stored in secure systems with access limited to authorized management personnel.
